Our Upcoming Fundraiser

Our New Sound System

For Immediate Release:

Local businesses and the community are coming together October 5th at the Montville Inn to support The Montville Cheerleader squads, even as cheerleaders themselves support the community.

The cheerleaders groups, which are comprised of Montville girls between 2nd and 8th grades, are overseen by Jamie Novak.  “These girls are excited about the upcoming Cheering season, especially our “competition” cheer squad, who will be traveling to competitions across the state..  Those costs are one of the main reason for our upcoming fundraiser.”  Novak says

A Broncos Cheerleader fundraiser is being hosted at the historic Montville Inn on October 5, 2011.  The event will feature live music by local musician Jared Dylan and a make-up workshop for the cheerleaders held by Gia Albarelli of Eye Candy Girl Cosmetics, who is also organizing the fund raiser.

“We are trying to create a positive vision for these girls of what they can be and how they can fit into, and give back to our community.” Albarelli explains.  “Helping them with the make up for their competition is only one way we can really help to establish a strong self esteem.  We also want them to understand that they have a place in the community and are very happy that they want to give back to the people in town that are dealing with the aftermath of the recent flooding.”

But spreading cheer is not just for games and competitions to these girls, as Jame Novak continues.  “Cheering is the way they help provide support and encouragement.  It may have started with sports teams, but for these girls it’s more that just that.  For example, the squads are all agreed that some of the funds raised should help people in the community that have been affected by the recent floods.”

The Fundraiser event will take place on October 5th, 2001 at the Montville Inn, where owners Randy Frankel, John Hanlon and TJ Nelligan have also pledged to donate a portion of the days proceeds to the fundraiser.

“The Monville Inn is happy to be hosting the event.” says Joseph Peluso, the Inn’s general manager.
“We are very much a part of this community and are looking forward to supporting our kids.  There should be a great crowd this Wednesday.  The Cheerleaders will be in a separate room for their workshop with Gia,  while thier folks can enjoy meeting other parents and community supporters in our comfortable surroundings while enjoying dinner, drinks and live music.”

Broncos Cheer Community, I have some wonderful, touching news!

I am just thrilled to announce that my dear friend, Gia Albarelli, owner of a fabulous cosmetic company called "Eye Candy" has graciously donated a lovely portable PA system to our little precious girls!!!

If anyone saw the PA that Rockaway had at Dawson this past sunday, its the same one. It also has a microphone which could also benefit the football staff in the event our sound system is down.  It has an attachment for Ipod and portable CD and will reside in the shed at Dawson for all to use while at the home field, but our Cheerleaders are earmarked with first dibs! Please handle it with care and be sure to return it to the shed after use.

Gia's giving doesn't stop there, though! She is also sponsoring and organizing, in collaboration with the owners of our own Montville Inn, a collosal Broncos Cheerleading fundraising event on October 5th.  On this day, The Montville Inn has generously offered to kick back to us a percentage of their profit for the entire day and night. While the dining is happening downstairs, my competition team will be upstairs enjoying their "Competition Make-up and Hair Party," for which Gia has also donated ALL make-up! The make-up party was our original brainchild. That concept has since spun out into a huge charity event!! We need your help in getting as many people as possible to come out and eat at The Montville Inn on Oct 5th, lunch or dinner!!

Gia is simply a lovely, sweet, caring person, who after some of her own trials, tribulations and TRIUMPHS,  has dedicated her life to "giving back" in order to express her gratitude for her miracles and for the good that her loved ones have done for her.  She and I, both, are true believers in "paying it forward."  We know the secret is gratitude and giving and caring for others and we want to pass the message on to the girls with the hope that they too will go on and "pay it forward."

At this time I am going to ask Gia to piggy back this email to give you some further details about how we have together decided to extend this event to benefit not only the Broncos Competition Cheerleaders, but all Broncos Cheerleaders, and in fact all Broncos, and now even the flood victims in our neighboring towns.

Thanks so much for your support!
