 MBSA Meeting Minutes

Date: 11/06/07 – 8:30pm @ Community Park Field House

Attendance: Approx. 25 people

 President’s Report:

·         November 10^th is Fall Cleanup Day!!! Cleanup starts at 8:30am

·        5^th Base Update (Tom Kruger) – Construction is on schedule. The sheet rock will be put up starting next week. Outside grating will also begin.  The Brick Drive for the patio will begin when registration forms are distributed (2 week in December).

·        Brick Drive Project Update (Diana Higgins) – The vendor for the Brick Drive will be Bricks R Us. We are currently working on an order form to be distributed with the registration forms. There will be 2 sizes offered - 8 X 4 for $100 and an 8 X 8 for $250.

·        Registration forms will go out mid December. In- Person registration will be January 12th and January 26^th at the New 5^th Base.

·        Opening day will be April 19^th.  Note that games will begin on April 14^th so that we don’t lose a week in the season.

Softball Report:

·        2 Programs were formed.

1. A Coach and Program Evaluation will be sent out within a week. Initially it will be for the Travel program/coaches and next year will include In-Town.
2. A Rules Committee has been created to update the rules. All changes will be discussed and approved at monthly MBSA meetings. 

§         Masks on helmets for softball will be mandatory this coming year ( A new rule )

·        The 10^th Annual Michelle Sullivan Tournament will be held May 2^nd -4^th

Baseball Report:

·        Spring Travel tryouts are complete.

Treasurer’s Report:

·        Year end profit is $81,000.  Financial Reports were available at meeting. 

Next meeting will be held December 5th (Wednesday) at 8:30pm. Location of meeting will be the field house at Community Park Field.
