MBSA Meeting Minutes

Date:  March 31, 2009

Attendance:  30+

 Meeting called to order at 8:06pm

 President’s Report: 

o       Delivery of the lights has been delayed by four days.  They should still be in by opening day.  Once construction begins for the lights, the fields and cages are closed and no one is to use them.

o       Everything is set for opening day ceremonies and parade.

o       Picture Day is April 25^th for softball and May 9^th for baseball.  The high school cafeteria will be utilized if the weather is inclement.

o       Thanks to Joe Monetti, Sponsorship Director.  All team sponsors have been filled and 51 signs have been purchased.  About 12 more are expected.

o       Softball C and D coaches, and the 7/8 Baseball coaches are needed on Saturday, April 11^th at 8am at Woodmont Field to help turn the field over so it can be used.

o       Head of Field Maintenance requests that each team fill in any holes after each game.  The fields have just be redone and need care.  Speedi-Dry is not to be used.

 Treasurer’s Report:

Current balance is $210,000.  Payment for lights and field maintenance on Muni 2 and 3 still need to be paid.

 Baseball:

Coaches need to turn in official roster forms. 

Softball: 

o       Drafts have been completed.

o       11^th Annual Michelle Fund will be May 1^st-3^rd.  Tournament sold out and has 48 teams.  Every field in town except Valley View will be utilized.  $8-10,000 profit is expected.

o       Donated wood for MTHS shop class to make wooden dogs to deter geese on the muni fields.

o       Coach Immediato’s Clinics were well attended and a big success.

 The next MBSA meeting is Tuesday, April 14th at 8pm at 5^th Base. 

 Meeting adjourned at 8:35pm.
