President’s Report

·        New field tractor is being researched. Preliminary reports are it will cost appox. $7,000.

·        Registration forms have been distributed and on-site registration has been coordinated.

·        The Montville Spring Travel League will begin on 4/15/07. The meeting for coaches is on 1/24/07 at 7:30pm at the Police Station. There are currently 37 teams registered. There is a possibility that a 13 and 14 year old league will be added.

·        The current status on a new 5th Base is that the MBSA will be meeting with the township Business Administrator on Friday 1/5/07 to discuss current plans.

·        Next meeting is February 6th 2007 at 8:00pm.

Treasurer’s Report

·        There is $77,000 in the MBSA bank account.

·        Current MBSA financial report was made available at meeting.

Baseball Report

·        Travel uniforms for spring are being ordered.

·        Registration forms for spring season have been delivered to the schools and distributed.

·        Spring clinics are currently being scheduled- Brian Kelly is working on it.

Softball Report

·        Registration forms for the spring season have been delivered to the schools and distributed.

·        Bill Mulligan made a request to add a 12 year old “B” Travel Softball this coming spring on behalf of the head coach. See result of request below in the approval area.

Items for Approval

·        A motion was made to allow a 12 year old B Travel Softball team to play this spring. The team members would need to also play recreation softball. The travel team may not interfere with any recreation games or practices. The team would be for this coming year only.

20 MBSA Directors voted and the outcome was 14 to 6 favoring NO team.

NOTE… The MBSA policy doesn’t allow B travel teams to exist during the spring season.
