MBSA Meeting Minutes

Date:  December 2, 2008

Attendance:  24

Meeting called to order at 8:09pm

President’s Report: 

-        A net will be installed by the fence near Condursos to protect the greenhouse.  MBSA has had to pay for broken windows at a cost of over $1,000 per year.

-        There was a discussion on purchasing new lights for the fields as soon as possible.  There are still meetings going on with the town in terms of financing the lights.   

-        Spring registration forms are available on the web.  Email notices regarding registration will go out through the schools after the holidays.

-        Sponsorship plaques are in.  Please contact Joe Monetti to pick them up.

-        Field renovation/maintenance has begun on Muni 2 and 3.

 Reminder:  •MBSA Day will be December 29^th from 10am to 5pm at Frozen Ropes for Montville residents.  Montville residents may use the facility free of charge on the 29^th.

 Softball: 

-        Clinic dates are set.  March 7^th and 21^st  Grades K-2 from 4-5:30pm

                                                                              Grades 3 and 4 from 5:30-7pm

                                           March 14^th and 28^th  Grades 5^th thru 8^th  4-5:30pm

Baseball:

-        Lower league rules have been revised and will be available on the MBSA website.

Treasurer:

-        $62,000 in the account

-        Will be paying for refurbishing muni 2 and 3 and for the installation of the new lights.

The next MBSA meeting will be Tuesday, January 6^th at 8:00pm.
