MBSA Meeting Minutes 4/9/2007

Date: 4/9/2007 - Community Park Field House

President’s Report:

·        Reminder-Opening Day will be Saturday 4/14/07. Coaches should arrive at 9:15am so that drop-off can occur. Parents will not be able to drop-off is coach is not present. Parade will start at 10:00am

·        Reminder - Picture Day will be 4/21/07 for Softball and 4/28/07 for Baseball. A coordinator is needed for Baseball Picture day for approx. 4 hours (9:00am to 1:00pm)

·        Code of Conduct forms are due back to coordinators prior to games beginning. Team will NOT be able to play until forms are handed in.

·        Discussion took place for possibly renting fields during the day on July 23^rd & 24^th and the week of July 9^th for baseball clinics to raise money. More info to follow.

·        5^th Base Status – Support is needed from all to attend the Montville Township meeting on April 10^th at 8:00pm at Town Hall. The Township Committee will be making a final decision about the new 5^th Base Building. Please wear your MBSA apparel.

·        DUGOUT Responsibility- All coaches are responsible for cleaning up the dugouts after games. If the garbage cans are full please empty them in the larger green can outside of dugouts or dumpsters by 5^th Base.

·        SCOREBOARD Responsibility – All coaches are responsible for making sure the scoreboard keypad is handled with care. Do not drop them or jam them back into cabinet. Please disconnect all wires before placing into cabinet. All keypads have been repaired and are working. Also note that all keypads have been marked for each field. Do not take a keypad from another field.

·        Discussions continued from last meeting on whether to have baseball tournaments or possibly renting fields during the day on July 23^rd & 24^th and the week of July 9^th for baseball clinics to raise money.  No final decision was made.  

 Treasurer’s Report:

·        Report balance is $175,000. Financial Reports were available at meeting.

Next meeting is on Monday 5/6/07 at 7:00pm at the Community Park Field House
