| Coaches and Parents: Fall baseball is happening... registration forms will be emailed and snail-mailed next week to all those who played spring ball. The season will begin right after Labor Day. Depending on how many kids sign up at each level, we'll figure out how many teams per age group there will be. Then we'll select head coaches and have a draft (coaches will not be allowed to "hand-pick" a team ahead of time). Teams will be divided as evenly as possible (the reason for the draft). Assistant coaches will be selected after the draft takes place (to avoid fathers trying to make sure their sons play on the same team). The Montville teams will play in the Cerbo Leagues. Therefore, traveling is pretty much guaranteed. Again, we'll know how many teams we have at each level once we see who registers. Unlike Spring baseball, the registration deadline will be strictly adhered to... no last-minute entries will be accepted after the deadline passes. Be sure you pass that on to your players' parents. That's the info I have for you now. We're currently putting together the email and snail-mail lists and moving forward on that.
